The brief here was to create a space to accommodate a water closet and area for domestic appliances within the kitchen. Tongue and groove boards in North American Cherry have been used and wrapped around a plywood core to create the curved barrel like shape. The boards have been fixed in such a way that once the door is closed an almost seamless finish is achieved. The only indication of a doorway being the stainless steel squash court handle, hinges are concealed. For durability a water based polish has been applied together with brushed stainless steel kick plate.
